BORO v ARSENAL- OVERS

Crystal Palace's Johnson nearly cost us a win last week but he fluffed his lines. So followers of this column would have been winners. And so on to the next match, Middlesbrough v Arsenal.

Middlesbrough are more than capable of stopping Arsenal. But will they?

That's been the problem with Middlesbrough all season. You just don't know what team will turn up. They can play outstanding one week and then as against Southampton, perform awfully. Unfortunately for Middlesbrough against a team like Arsenal they just cannot afford an off day.

If Middlesbrough play to their potential, which is possible then they could quite easily sneak a win here. Arsenal are hardly full of confidence themselves right now and even though I suspect that Arsenal will prevail, there are too many ifs and buts for my liking in this match.

It could go either way and therefore I would not pick any team to win this match outright. A match best left alone in that respect but there are other bets available, one of which I like.

In all Premiership matches there are an abundance of bets ranging from correct score, to bookings to last goal scorer and on occasions even some novelty bets like "will a certain player score a hatrick". But the one bet that stands out for me is the overs/unders type of bet.

Basically you are betting whether there will be a minimum of three goals or less than three goals in a particular match and my inclination is that in this particular match there will be a minimum of three goals.

The reasoning in going for the overs bet is quite simple. I think that Arsenal will probably win this match - but I am far from convinced - and that Middlesbrough will score at least one goal. Middlesbrough certainly have the talent to get a goal and Arsenal's defence is no longer the force that it was.

On the flip side of the coin, I fully expect Arsenal to put the ball in the back of the Middlesbrough net. Almost everyone else has and they don't have a Thierry Henry.

To conclude, my selection this week is:

Middlesbrough v Arsenal overs @ 2 with BetInternet.
