BORO v LIVERPOOL TIPS
This match is a very tricky one to call.
On one hand you have the European Champions league semi-finalists at home, but likely to field a weakened pre occupied team. On the other hand you have a team capable of an upset yet beset with inconsistency.
Liverpool probably know in the back of their minds that Everton have got fourth place sewn up now and you have to ask yourself, will certain players on their team be risking life and limb tomorrow with the Chelsea game coming up? Personally I doubt it.
Middlesbrough themselves are in a great fight with Spurs and Villa for that elusive seventh place and a trip to next season's UEFA cup but hand on heart, would you risk a bet on a team that beat WBA 4-0 but also lose 3-1 to Southampton.
No chance.
What you can be assured of is that the chances of this match reflecting form or going to plan is unlikely and anything can happen. If Middlesbrough click, they could easily win this match, but the same applies to Liverpool who certainly have the talent to defeat Middlesbrough.
And that's what I have decided to do. Look for the unlikely result, the surprise, the long shot. And the bet that fits that criteria for a very small outlay is the half time/full time bet.
The half time/full time bet is a prediction of who will be leading at half time and then at full time, with the best odds being available on one team to be winning at half time but to lose at full time.
These bets actually come up rarely but they do come up and in a match like this with so many imponderables it offers as good a chance as any.

Half time/ Full time
Liverpool/Middlesbrough @ 34 with Betfair
Middlesbrough/Liverpool @ 60 with Betfair
I would suggest that you put 3 points on the first selection and 2 points on the second selection. No need to risk more than a fiver on this type of bet. A win and you can take the other half out for dinner, a loss and its just a fiver gone.
