LOSE YOUR SHIRT WITH HARRY'S AMATEUR BETTING ADVICE
With our good friend Puntershelper away in Spain on business right now, you're going to have to do without the professional tip this week and settle for the amateur viewpoint instead.
PH must have made far too much money last season to be able to afford to be lying on a beach with the big kick off just hours away...
And you can do the same by putting your complete life savings and all of your children's trust funds on the big match, Middlesbrough v Liverpool this Saturday.
I scoured the local bookies shops and they were all full of shabby looking gadgies with dogs on bits of string, roll-ups hanging out of the side of their mouths.
Then I realised that Puntershelper does it all online. So I clocked onto the Internet and within twenty minutes I had a big list of prices for Saturday's game.
I whittled down the list by picking a price and comparing it with the other bookies I had looked at. The first one I picked was straight Boro win.
The bookie with the best price for that selection won and got to start the next selection. Five 'best prices' on the trot would make me go with that particular bookie.
And then it would be time to place a bet. But if there were any problems during the transaction, I would start the whole process again and select a different bookie.
Ladbrokes was the clear winner and I have managed to place my bets without any sign at all of a technical hitch or hiccup. Most important for a bloke who tried to put a pie in the computer and read his mails on the microwave only six months ago.

Here's how I have squandered this week's wages.
I have £40 each on
Middlesbrough 1 - 0 @ 7/1
Middlesbrough 2 - 0 @ 11/1
Middlesbrough 2 - 1 @ 10/1
Minimum return is £280 if Boro win and I picked these results because it is unlikely that we will score three against Liverpool.
But if you do wish to add in 3-1 or 3-2, these selections are a massive 25/1 each and you would still be in profit if we won 1-0.
We need to cover ourselves though, in case Liverpool win and this is the tricky part. It's not worth betting on just a straight Liverpool win because you would get less than a twenty back for your £40 outlay.
However, a 2-0 Liverpool win at 8/1 would cover your losses if you do decide to edge the Boro correct score.
So to summarise, if you edge the Boro result with the three results above backed up by a 2-0 and 2-1 Liverpool win, you have placed 5 bets and laid out £200.
If Boro win but don't score three, you are in profit by between £80 - £200. If Liverpool win by 2-0 or 2-1, you are in profit by £80 - £120.
If either team scores three or if its a draw, you have lost the lot and you'll be crying in your beer on Saturday night. If you are still be able to afford a beer...

Incidentally, if you do fancy a draw, it's a great price. It's 21/10 and I took it as a cushion. A draw looks a likely result in my eyes and you can double your money if it comes in.
Another great feature of Ladbrokes is 'Bet in Play'. I'll be trying this on Saturday when the match is on and reporting back on it next week. Unless PH comes back from Spain by then...
