ENGLAND v WALES BEST BETTING TIP
How to increase the odds for an England win.

It's a break from the norm this week as Middlesbrough take a well earned, ahem, break from their Premiership endeavours.

We did turn in a profit from the Charlton game, turning August into a fantastic month profit wise. We'll be wiping the slate and starting again with the Arsenal game next week.

But for now, it's a bit of light relief as we turn our attentions to England and a World Cup double header against international power-houses Wales and Northen Ireland.

A two part mini betting series designed to relieve the tedium of international football by making sure that you take the bookies for everything that you can.

And when it is all over, I'm going to show you how to make a fortune by betting on the eventual winner of World Cup 2006. But that's for next week.

UK Betting have still not closed my account but the manager has been on to me for a handout after August's great results.

So whilst we can and whilst they still have a special offer of a £25 free bet, let's try and drive them further towards bankruptcy's door.

The outcome of the England v Wales match is be in no doubt whatsoever. This is despite England fielding a severely weakened squad. Downing, Southgate, Cooper, Morrison, Ehiogu and Parlour have all been left out of the squad.

But England still have some reasonable players available and will still cruise it. It's just a question of by how many. And that's the difficulty with this bet.

Let's start with a straightforward £100. By the end of the Northern Ireland game, we should be collecting triple that.

England are 2/5 to win this outright and although those odds are incredibly low, I'm still going to take them because it's such a dead cert. You'll see how to double it in a minute.

So I have put a fifty on that one and if it comes in, sorry, when it come in, I will collect a twenty. Plus my fifty back of course.

It may seem a bit silly laying out a fifty to get back a twenty but it's such a dead cert that I see it as free money. And it qualifies us for the free £25 bet.

I'm staying well away from the correct score betting on this one. I wouldn't be surprised by a 1-0 or a 6-0 win and the odds dictate that edging it is too risky.

So we'll go with a half-time/full-time prediction.

A half-time draw with England the eventual winners is what we want to happen here because it's 4/1. So I'll take it and put a twenty on it. Half-time England/full-time England is a lowly 4/5 and that is where the remaining thirty is going.

That still leaves us with the £25 free bet and normally, I would go for a long shot here. But it's simply not worth it for this match.

So what I want to do is cash in that free bet and I'm going to use it on a straight England win. I know I've already got that but by using the free bet for the same and most obvious outcome, it actually means that my actual profit for a straight England win becomes £55.

So we have actually changed the odds for an England win here. We have in fact more than doubled them. So you see that there was method in my madness.

Here's the bit that I know you all like the best. The summary.

If England are winning at half-time and hold on to it, we will collect £24 from that. Add that to the straight win profit and for the £100 outlay, we get back £74.

If it's a draw at half-time but England win, we collect £135.

To make your dreams come true, just place the following bets;

£50 England win @ 2/5
£20 HT England/FT England @ 4/5
£30 HT Draw/FT England @ 4/1
£25 Free bet England win @ 2/5
