CALL TO ARMS - YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU
The aftermath of Sunderlandgate rages on and it is unlikely that anything less than an utter thrashing of Xanthi tomorrow night and Villa on Sunday will stifle the current bad feeling.
But it is now time to suspend the cries of discontent and get behind the team in the biggest and loudest way that we can.
Boro needs its supporters more than ever at this moment so let's be there for the lads.
Without a doubt, Steve McClaren will be the manager for the Xanthi and Aston Villa games and the only positive thing that we can do is get right behind him, whether he deserves it or not.
Members of the McClaren out camp need to unite behind the team and play their part in restoring the lost pride. Negativity will not help one bit, so let's save it for Monday when hopefully we will have all been proven wrong.
It's amnesty time now. Shouting for the manager's head between now and Sunday afternoon will not make a positive difference.
Shouting for the team will and that is the best course of action that we can take at this critical time.
We have an incredibly important UEFA Cup match tomorrow and a chance to clamber back up the league table on Sunday.
Here's the call to arms.
Cancel your plans for Sunday and go to Villa Park, whatever the cost, whatever the sacrifice.
None of us want to give up on the team and none us want to see the bad run continue.
It's right now that the club need our support and we should give it.
Our club needs us more than it has done for a long time and we should be there for it, like we have been there before in the bad times. We can make a difference.
Steve
