"BLOODY RUBBISH!" FROM THE TABLOIDS 6-2-05
I see that our "Bloody Rubbish!" England manager is going to select Emile Heskey for England;
"These are all good qualities and he seems intelligent too. It helps if you are clever in life and international football's no different to that."
Come off it Sven. What would you know about being clever? Picking Heskey for England has to be the most "Bloody Rubbish!" decision ever made by an England manager. Or maybe it's a ploy to find out just how good Stewey Downing really is. Go on Stewey, if you can get that load of "Bloody Rubbish!" to score, then you're in the team for good...

Sporting Chance chief Peter Kay told BBC Sport all about Adrian Mutu's rehabilitation programme;
"It's our policy not to discuss the details of individual clients, as confidentiality is one of the keys to our success."
"Bloody Rubbish!" policy that Pete, isn't it. He goes on...
"However, it has been widely known for some time that Adrian will be attending the clinic. He'll be undergoing the highly successful programme we've developed here. It involves one-on-one psychotherapy, yoga, group skills and individual football training."
Well I hope I never have to take you into my confidence Pete! 'I can't say anything about the situation. But I'll tell you all about it anyway.' What a load of "Bloody Rubbish!"

Jose Mourinho believes Chelsea's bid for the quadruple is being ruined by fixture pile-ups. The Blues boss raged;
"Somebody is controlling and deciding - and somebody is always giving us the difficult match times. There are some things I don't understand. One of those is who controls the fixtures on television? And who decides which game goes on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday? I cannot understand why it is always the same team with the difficult time."
Don't talk "Bloody Rubbish!" Jose. Who controls the fixtures on television? Rupert Murdoch of course and 4pm on a Sunday afternoon is not a difficult time. That's what happens when you're playing well. They put you on TV. What are they supposed to do? Screen "Bloody Rubbish!" teams like Norwich or West Brom? So stop talking "Bloody Rubbish!" man and get on with it, like the others would. Except Fergie maybe...

David O'Leary says clubs should lose points if found guilty of tapping up players;
"Tapping up has been going on for decades. When I was a player at Arsenal I was getting tapped up in the 80s and 90s. The viewpoint is that if you can get away with it, do it. Fining big clubs does not hurt them. Docking points would hurt more."
"Bloody Rubbish!" David! I think 'tapping up' should be legal as I can't see what's wrong with it. If Chelsea fancy Ashley Cole and make him a better offer than what he's on at Arsenal, then what's wrong with that? If he's on a "Bloody Rubbish!" contract and can improve on it, then why should he be stopped? Or is it just another "Bloody Rubbish!" rule to keep the bods at the FA in a job?
******************************
Martin O'Neill was disappointed that Craig Bellamy would not be making his debut today;
"Craig Bellamy will not play on Sunday due to the plastic surface,"
What a load of "Bloody Rubbish!" If I had paid six million quid for a new striker, I wouldn't expect him to be wimping out of games because he doesn't like the playing surface. Absolute "Bloody Rubbish!" that is and if I was Martin O'Neill, I'd send him straight back to Geordieland for another good kicking from Uncle Graeme! Looks like you bought yourself a right load of old "Bloody Rubbish!" there Martin!
******************************
Talking of Geordieland, this column just wouldn't be the same without good old Souey having his say;
"Nobody loves attacking football more than me. If you look at my track record I only know one way to play."
We know Graeme, we know. That's why your "Bloody Rubbish!" team was booed off the pitch by it's own supporters yesterday. Do you need me to say more...?
More "Bloody Rubbish!" by Harry Haverton coming your way next weekend.
