Last week I had a bit of a mediocre weekend. I predicted three out of the ten results correctly, with one perfect score coming at Fratton Park as Pompey beat West Ham 2-0. Now on to this weekend's feast of football!
Wigan v Manchester City
Wigan - 13/10 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw - 11/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Manchester City - 7/4 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
If you are a Wigan fan you must be feeling a sense of déjà vu this weekend as the Latics are playing at home on Saturday lunchtime against a team from Manchester for the second week running. Fortunately for Paul Jewell's team it is the blue half of the city as Stuart Pearce's team visits the JJB.
Manchester City have been unbeaten for the last three matches gaining five points in the process, whereas Wigan are languishing in the bottom four and are without a win since the back end of August.
This will be a brutal encounter between these two north-west teams and there will only be a solitary goal between them, and I think it will go in favour of the home side.
Prediction - 1-0 to Wigan (6/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Charlton v Watford
Charlton 5/6 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 9/4 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Watford 11/4 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
It is a battle of the basement boys as a winless Watford travel South of the Thames to take on Charlton Athletic, who are currently bottom of the Premiership. Watford have been somewhat unlucky in not registering a win in their short Premier league life, and have become known as the draw specialists by notching up four points. Iain Dowie's team however seem to have a sadistic fetish for losing as they have lost seven out of eight games. Their only win was against Bolton earlier in the season and they were fortunate to win that.
Both teams do not have the ability to scrap for a win at the moment, and I can really see this been a turgid uneventful match. This game has a draw written all over it.
Prediction - 1-1 (11/2) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Chelsea v Portsmouth
Chelsea 1/4 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 7/2 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Portsmouth 10/1 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
After a marvellous victory over Barcelona in midweek which virtually guarantees them a spot into the last sixteen, Chelsea have a tricky task at home to the team with the meanest defence in the league. Portsmouth. Harry Redknapp's team have only conceded three goals so far this season.
Even though Chelsea had two goalkeepers decapitated last week at Reading I still think the defence is strong enough to keep a clean sheet, and as good as Pompey's defence is this season I can see them conceding a couple of goals.
Prediction - 2-0 to Chelsea (5/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Everton v Sheffield United
Everton 4/7 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 12/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Sheffield United 9/2 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
After claiming their first point away from home, The Blades will be looking to extend that amount as they travel to Merseyside to face Everton who have just lost their unbeaten record last weekend to the hands of the mighty Boro.
For this match I am just going to use simple mathematics for a predicted outcome in this match. Everton have scored eight goals in four matches at Goodison Park, which is an average of two goals a game. Sheffield United have yet to score away from home. Therefore according to The Bean calculator this match will be a 4-4 draw. Wait a minute..
Prediction - 2-0 to Everton (7/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Aston Villa v Fulham
Aston Villa 8/13 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 12/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Fulham 4/1 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
After eight matches this season there is only one unbeaten team in the league and believe it or not that is Aston Villa. The villains take on a Fulham team which had one of the worst away records last season since the Premier Leagues incarnation.
So Villa are unbeaten at home, Fulham are notoriously bad away from home. It does not take a rocket scientist to work out how it should end up. But rocket scientists are fucking useless - just check last weeks column. So this week I have asked Quantum Physicist Dr Ping Koy Lam of Australia National University. After five minutes of asking who I was he just guessed 3-0. That's good enough for me!
Prediction - 3-0 to Aston Villa (10/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Manchester United v Liverpool
Manchester United 3/4 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 11/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Liverpool 10/3 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
A mouth-watering encounter is expected in this match on Sunday as Manchester United entertain Liverpool at Old Trafford. Both teams had good results in the Champions League in midweek, against Copenhagen and Bordeaux respectively, so both sides will be brimming with confidence.
This should be a very intriguing game, but one of the standout facts in this match is that Liverpool have been disastrous away from home. They have only claimed a single point and that was an opening day draw with Sheffield United. With Wayne Rooney coming back to form I feel that the points should be safe for Manchester United.
Prediction - 2-1 to Manchester United (7/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Blackburn v Bolton
Blackburn 11/8 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 15/8 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Bolton 15/8 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Congratulations are in order for Blackburn who successfully defeated Welikta Krakwonov (well something like that) on Thursday afternoon. After smoking some Poles, Blackburn welcome their neighbours Notlob for a dink dank doo of a Lancashire derby.
Both teams are in relatively good form at the moment. After Blackburn's slow start they have finally got back into the type of play which guided them to a top six finish whereas Sam Allardyce's men have only suffered one defeat this season. This game is too close to call so I will gladfully gather splinters in my arse by going for a 1-1 draw.

Middlesbrough v Newcastle
Middlesbrough 6/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 11/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Newcastle 15/8 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Oh yes, it is what we have been waiting for since the fixture list was released back in June. After weeks of sly digs and baiting with Geordie colleagues in offices and worksites around the North East, the Tees-Tyne derby is among us. This will be the 109th league meeting between the two clubs.
Now I have noticed a trend with the matches I have predicted so far this season for Boro. The games I have predicted Boro will win we got beat, the games that I said we will lose we won. So to hope this hoodoo over my predictions will continue I am going for a skunk win (in a roundabout way it's a Boro win!)
Prediction 2-1 to Newcastle (10/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Tottenham v West Ham
Tottenham 8/11 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 9/4 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
West Ham 10/3 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
After a torrid start to the season, Tottenham have finally started to play like they did last season and are picking up results. They managed to grab an unlikely victory in Turkey on Thursday evening which means they just need to win their home games and will be through to the last thirty two of the Uefa Cup. West Ham on the other hand are on the slippery slope of doom as they have lost six on the trot.
With Tottenham's improvement of late you would have to say the Hammers have no chance of a victory on Sunday. The Argentineans have upset the apple cart at Upton Park and it needs to be sorted quickly. An easy Spurs win.
Prediction - 2-0 to Tottenham (6/1) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Reading v Arsenal
Reading 9/2 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Draw 13/5 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
Arsenal 8/15 - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
After taking a rough ride in Russia in midweek, the Gunners have an equally treacherous trip down the M4 as they take on Reading. A close source of mine has revealed that Arsene Wenger is considering naming three goalkeepers on the bench for the game at the Madjeski. The same contact also revealed that a member of Arsenal's coaching staff has found Thierry Henry's dummy after he spat it out recently.
All joking aside, Arsene's Arses will want to get that loss in Moscow out of their system and could take their frustration out on Reading. However Steve Coppell's men will not allow that as they will only succumb to a 1-0 defeat.
Prediction - 1-0 to Arsenal (11/2) - Click Here To Bet - Free £50 Bet
