UEFA CUP DRAW 2005/06

The draw for the quarter-finals and beyond took place in Eindhoven at 1200 UK Time. Here are the quarter-final fixtures:

Sevilla v Zenit St Petersburg
Basel v MIDDLESBROUGH
Rapid Bucharest v Steaua Bucharest
Levski Sofia v Schalke 04

The ties will be played on March 30th and 6th April. After Boro have knocked Basel out, we will face one of the Bucharest teams in the semi-final with Boro away first. The semi finals will be played on 20th and 27th April.

Basel are currently top of the Swiss league by seven points and put Strasbourg out in the last round of the Uefa Cup.

Basel are managed by former Spurs manager Christian Gross and have just broken their own record for unbeaten home matches. The new record is now 54.
