Middlesbrough are now as big as 18/1 to win the UEFA Cup after losing in Basle.

Goals from Matias Delgado and David Degen in the last three minutes of the first half were enough to give Basle a healthy 2-0 lead after the first leg, and as a result Steve McClaren's men are now 18/1 with VC Bet to win the competition.

Schalke, the event jolly's before the quarter-finals began, have been cut to 7/4 with Paddy Power after an impressive 3-1 win away to Levski Sofia.

Javier Saviola put Sevilla in sight of a semi-final spot when his two goals helped the Spanish club beat nine-man Zenit St Petersburg 4-1.

Sevilla are now 7/2 second favourites, with Basel still 12/1.
