BORO v CHARLTON FA CUP - TEAM NEWS
It's going to be a full-strength Boro side tonight as the mighty reds bid to reach the FA Cup semi-final for only the third time in our history.
Gareth Southgate, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Stuart Downing are all expected to be restored to the starting line-up after being rested for the kickabout with Newcastle on Sunday.
Franck Queudrue is doubtful after sustaining yet another head injury against Newcastle and Andrew Davies is cup-tied after turning out for Derby earlier in the season.
This is Boro's twenty-second cup match this season and with victory comes a tie at Villa Park against West Ham. Then it's onto Liverpool or Chelsea in the Final at the Millennium Stadium.
Darren Bent and Chris Powell return to the Charlton line-up after being rested for the draw with Everton at the weekend.
Bryan Hughes should recover from his foot injury but Luke Young is definitely out and Marcus Bent is cup-tied.
Alan Curbishley had plenty to say about the match.
"I wouldn't have been thanked if we were scrapping at the bottom, losing by three or four like we were. The amount of draws we've had is about average. It's all right sitting up in the stand saying entertain me, but we were getting heavily beaten and that didn't entertain me."
"The clean sheets have helped us back on track. Now that we've tightened up I want us to get back to being more fruitful in front of goal and start scoring some more."
