CHELSEA v MIDDLESBROUGH BETTING PREVIEW

I was once asked if I found it difficult to place bets on Middlesbrough, as I'm such a staunch supporter? Easy answer. 'No, definitely not. I never let it enter the equation.'

But I had a tough time with this weekend's Boro v Chelsea coupon as the odds are not making a lot of sense. They're far too long on Boro but that is something that we can take advantage of. We might even win enough to buy a pint on The Fulham Road. Or a ticket for the match...

So I'm staying realistic this week and sticking to facts only. And here's your first fact. Boro have only played well in cup ties and against top level opposition this year. We raised our game for Arsenal and Manchester United and killed them off, big style. But we didn't show up against Sunderland.

You can get a staggering 11/1 on a straight Boro win at Total Bet. Anybody would think Christmas is coming...

Another fact for you. Seven goals in eleven starts for Viduka, four in five for Jimmy and nine in fourteen for Yakubu. Boro are fourth top scorers in the Premiership and will not come away with a blank from Stamford Bridge. Despite the pies costing around fifteen quid each.

You can get 11/1 on Yakubu to be the first scorer in the match and 12/1 on Jimmy Floyd or Big Mark. I'm taking it and my money's down at Total Bet on Mark or Jimmy, depending which one who starts.

And another fact from the most fact filled column on the internet. Chelsea are due to be beaten at home. Their next home defeat is looming. They are unbetaen at home in twenty-six Premiership matches, which is an amazing feat but it won't go on forever.

I am backing it to come crashing down on Saturday as Jimmy tramples on Roman's flowers and the Boro fans attempt to raise the price of a celebratory drink in the Stamford Bridge concourses.

A 2-0 Boro win is a massive 50/1 and you can get 40/1 on 2-1 and 16/1 on 1-0 at Total Bet. Do it! I did and I'll be doubly celebrating on Saturday night...

Doing the Lambeth Walk? They'll be doing the "We just got beat by Boro" walk and I'll be buying a round with my winnings. But only when we get back to Middlesbrough.
