CHELSEA v MIDDLESBROUGH BIG MATCH FACTS

It's grim reading for Boro who have not scored in three League meetings with Chelsea and never won a Premiership fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Boro last won at the glamorous west London venue 30 years ago, winning the top flight fixture 2-1 on 22 March 1975. We've subsequently drawn six and lost eight at the Bridge.

Boro have failed to score in only one of the last seven league matches, but have not managed a clean sheet in 11 - the longest current such run in the top division.

With five wins and five draws from fourteen games, Boro find themselves in mid table having recorded a loss, a win and a draw in the last three Premiership outings.

Defeat to Chelsea will mean a third successive League reverse on the road after losses at West Ham and Everton.

Chelsea go into the weekend ten points clear at the top of nearest rivals Manchester United, and 18 points superior to Boro, having won the last three League and Champions League contests.

Jose Mourinho's side have not lost in 26 home Premiership games, winning 21 of them, including the last nine. Arsenal and Chelsea are the only clubs still with 100% home records in the top division.

Chelsea 'doubled' Boro for the first time in the Premiership last season. They followed a 1-0 victory at the Riverside with a 2-0 win in last season's corresponding fixture, when Didier Drogba killed off the contest inside the first 17 minutes with two quick fire goals.
