BORO v EVERTON - THE NEUTRAL PREVIEW
By Jonathan Turner of Betting Zone

Boro's astonishing UEFA Cup comeback against Steaua Bucharest deserves all the plaudits but they'll surely be vulnerable in this.

Indeed their cup exploits this season have caught up with them in the league as they've had a brutal fixture list to contend with in recent weeks.

This comes less than 48 hours after Thursday night's drama - while they've got trips to Manchester United and Bolton on Monday and Wednesday respectively next week!

After their famous win over Basle in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals they capitulated tamely at home to Newcastle and they are clearly going to be way off full strength for this.

But while Boro have nothing riding on the game you can say exactly the same about Everton - and are they really a side you'd want to trust given that they are now without a win in six, haven't scored a goal in their last 420 minutes of football and are without one of their most influential players in Tim Cahill?

Verdict: Middlesbrough 0 Everton 0
