BORO DRIFT AFTER DEFEAT
By Betting Zone

Middlesbrough are out to 3/1 for UEFA Cup glory after losing the first leg of their semi-final with Steaua Bucharest 1-0.

Mark Schwarzer pulled off a string of fine saves as Steve McClaren's troops weathered large spells of possession for the hosts to emerge with just a one-goal deficit to retrieve in next Thursday's second leg at the Riverside Stadium.

And having overturned Basle's 2-0 first-leg lead in the previous round with a stunning home display, they will be hopeful of reaching the final.

However the odds have ease to 3/1 from 5/2, while Steaua have been trimmed from 11/2 into 3s.

Sevilla are now the clear favourites after collecting a goalless draw away to Schalke.

That pair had both been available at 2/1 but are now 11/8 Sevilla and 4/1 Schalke.
