MIDDLESBROUGH v VfB STUTTGART - ODDS PREVIEW
Kean Thomas

Fancy a flutter to make tonight's match even more exciting? - The return leg of Boro v Stuttgart in the 'Round of 32' Uefa Cup.

Boro are leading 2-1 after a very good performance and result over in Germany. Middlesbrough may have been rocked with the injury to Fabio Rochemback and the suspension of mad dog Pogatetz, but have George Boateng and Franck Queudrue continuing their recoveries.

So can Boro make it five wins in a row?

PaddyPower.com certainly seem to think so, offering a miserly 10-11 for a Boro win. Totalbet.com meanwhile are offering 6-5 on a home win.

A Stuttgart win comes in at 5-2 with Paddy and virtually the same with Totalbet, 11-5.

A draw comes in at 9-4 with both Paddypower.com and Totalbet.com.

So no millions are going to be made with those bets then.

If you want to make some half decent cash you're going to have to either pick the right score or the first goal scorer.

1-0 to the Boro won't get you much better than 5-1, whilst 2-0 will get you a maximum of 9-1 with Paddy. 22-1 with Paddy for a 3-0 win, 20-1 with Totalbet.com.

A Stuttgart 1-0 win will gain you roughly seven times your outlay, or if you fancy the reverse score from the first leg you could get 12-1 with Paddy and 10-1 with Totalbet.

First goal scorer?

Yakubu is clearly the favourite with the bookies...4-1(ish) with both, whilst JFH is a little further out at 5-1. Jon Dahl Tomasson is the favoured Stuttgart goal scorer. A couple of other selected ones that are maybe worth a bob or two are Thomas Hitzlsperger at 20-1 with Totalbet.com or Chris Riggott at 28-1 with the same company.

Serious cash can be made if you can get the first goal scorer and the correct result. For example if history repeats itself and JFH scores the first in a 2-1 Boro win then you could reap thirty-five times your stake.

Don't forget both PaddyPower and Totalbet offer free bets to new customers.

Which reminds me, I'm off to stake my free £10 on a 3-1 Boro win with Chris Riggott getting the first. And if that comes in at 330-1, I'll see you all in Rome.
