MIDDLESBROUGH v BLACKBURN ROVERS - BETTING ZONE PREVIEW
Rovers ended an early-season goal drought with six goals in their last two games (against Salzburg and Man City), but it could be back to old ways against dour Boro.
Steve McClaren's departure has hardly brought the arrival of free-flowing, attacking football to the Riverside. In fact, this season has brought a very familiar pattern - Boro capable of mixing it with the best when they fancy it, but losing to the so-called lesser lights, the latest example being Notts County in midweek.
Jonathan Woodgate's arrival has placed even more emphasis on defence and he has impressed so far. If we were to pick a bet for this game it would probably be on there being less than three goals at 7/10, but with Boro so unpredictable and Rovers showing Jekyll and Hyde tendancies against City, this also looks one to avoid.
Verdict: Middlesbrough 0 Blackburn 0
