CHARLTON v MIDDLESBROUGH TEAM NEWS
Defender Ben Thatcher is set to make his Charlton debut against Middlesbrough in their Barclays Premiership clash on Saturday.
On-loan goalkeeper Scott Carson returns after not being granted permission to play in last weekend's FA Cup tie.
Osei Sankofa is still suspended, but defender Hermann Hreidarsson (knee) and midfielder Andy Reid (hamstring) are expected to feature.
Captain Luke Young (knee) and striker Darren Bent (knee) will need a couple more weeks, while new signing Zheng Zhi is to be given time to settle following his move from China.
Middlesbrough's defence will be bolstered by the return of key players Jonathan Woodgate and Mark Schwarzer.
Both players missed last weekend's 1-1 FA Cup third-round draw at Hull, but centre-half Woodgate has shaken off a hip injury while goalkeeper Schwarzer has overcome a back problem.
With Robert Huth (foot) the only first-team contender still sidelined, Boro will be virtually at full strength at The Valley with manager Gareth Southgate's only dilemma whether to stick with a 4-4-2 formation or play safe with 4-5-1.
