MIDDLESBROUGH v CHARLTON BETTING ZONE PREVIEW

Charlton look a team in total disarray and it would be advisable to back any side playing them at the moment, except perhaps Middlesbrough.
The Addicks looked woeful away at Tottenham and at home to Liverpool, and they were good performances compared to their home defeat to Wycombe in the Carling Cup.
The problem with backing Middlesbrough at odds-on is quite simple - they don't win many games. Ony four times from 18 chances this season have they collected three points.
They haven't won for seven games, and I'd be much happier backing Middlesbrough at 7/1 against a top three club than at 4/5 against perhaps the worst club in the league at the moment.
No goalscorer may tempt a few in at 8/1 considering both teams lack of threat in front of goal, but with their respective defences far from being the most reliable this is not a sensible option.
The best advice is to leave this game alone altogether.
Verdict: Middlesbrough 1 Charlton 1
