MIDDLESBROUGH v CHELSEA TEAM NEWS - BOULAHROUZ GOES STRAIGHT IN
Khalid Boulahrouz goes straight into Chelsea's squad for their trip to Middlesbrough.
The versatile Dutch defender expects to have his international clearance through in time for the game and boosts Jose Mourinho's injury-hit backline although John Terry should be fit despite aggravating a groin problem in Sunday's win at home to Manchester City.
Claude Makelele and Michael Ballack, both ruled out of the City game with injuries, are back in training and could be involved. Geremi, Joe Cole, Petr Cech and Robert Huth are all injured and rebel William Gallas has been frozen out of the first team by Mourinho.
Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate will be without new signing Julio Arca.
The 25-year-old Argentinian broke a bone in his foot during Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Reading and will be sidelined for three weeks.
Either Emanuel Pogatetz or youngster Andrew Taylor is likely to take over at left-back, while midfielder Lee Cattermole returns to the squad after an ankle problem.
Middlesbrough (from): Schwarzer, Turnbull, Parnaby, Davies, Pogatetz, Taylor, Riggott, Bates, Morrison, Boateng, Rochemback, Downing, Cattermole, Mendieta, Johnson, Parlour, Viduka, Yakubu, Maccarone.
Chelsea (from): Cudicini, Ferreira, Terry, Carvalho, Boulahrouz, Bridge, Makelele, Essien, Lampard, Diarra, Ballack, Mikel, Robben, Kalou, Wright-Phillips, Shevchenko, Drogba, Mancienne, Hilario.
