ISRAEL v ENGLAND - NEVILLE DEMANDS TWO VICTORIES
Gary Neville has insisted it will be "totally unacceptable" if England fail to qualify for the Euro 2008 finals.
And the Manchester United defender warned England will "be in trouble" if they fail to defeat Israel and Andorra during the next week.
But Neville is confident England, boosted by the return of the likes of Wayne Rooney and John Terry, can return home with a six-point haul, starting with the clash in Tel Aviv on Saturday.
Neville is forced to sit out the double header through injury as Steve McClaren's side finally have the opportunity to put the disappointing autumn results against Macedonia and Croatia behind them.
He said: "We've got to start putting the results against Croatia and Macedonia behind us by winning the next two games.
"We have got enough games and points left for us to be able to correct what has gone on before. At the moment, it's still in our own hands.
"We have to win against Israel and Andorra. If we don't we will be in trouble in terms of qualifying. It would be unacceptable for England not to be at Euro 2008.
"I don't think anything less than two victories will be acceptable for us but I am confident we will do well although Israel will be a tough game.
"I genuinely believe we have a good group of players and we have players back like Wayne Rooney and John Terry."
Nevertheless, Neville accepts England have "no God-given right" to book their place in the finals in Austria and Switzerland in 15 months time.
He said: "England have not qualified for some tournaments in the last 30-40 years. We had play-offs against Scotland, a group decider in Italy, where the result could have gone the other way.
"People shouldn't take it for granted but we do have a good group of players."
