LIVERPOOL v MIDDLESBROUGH BETTING ZONE PREVIEW
By Chris Hammer
Realistically there is little resting on this fixture with both sides' Premiership destiny virtually decided.
Liverpool have all but sealed their place in next season's Champions League while only a freak run of results will see Middlesbrough suffering the agony of relegation.
Rafa Benitez' Reds may well be focused on their forthcoming Champions League semi-final with Chelsea but judging by the Teessiders' away record they should have few problems picking up another three points at Anfield.
Boro have only won once on their travels in the Premiership this season - the 3-1 triumph at Charlton on January 13 - while they've lost three of their last four trips to Liverpool in all competitions.
But Gareth Southgate's side are an inconsistent bunch and you can never be sure what they're going to give you.
Saturday's 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Aston Villa came on the back of a 4-1 thrashing of Watford - two results which sum up their 2007 so far.
Liverpool's dominant home record has been far more predictable, winning 12 out of 15 in the league, conceding just five and averaging just over two goals per game.
Therefore we're going to head for the correct score market and take the 6/1 on offer with Ladbrokes about a comfortable 2-0 result in favour of the hosts.
Verdict: Liverpool 2 Middlesbrough 0
