MIDDLESBROUGH v NOTTS COUNTY - TEAM NEWS
Germany international Robert Huth could be handed a senior debut for Middlesbrough in their Carling Cup clash with Notts County on Wednesday night.
Manager Gareth Southgate will rest Jonathan Woodgate and is expected to play Huth - his £6million summer signing from Chelsea - following his recovery from ankle surgery.
Striker Mark Viduka has recovered from a knee injury, but Stewart Downing (groin), Chris Riggott, George Boateng (both ankle), Julio Arca (broken foot) and Ugo Ehiogu (Achilles) are all out.
Notts County manager Steve Thompson is expected to rotate his squad.
League Two County, conquerors of Crystal Palace in the first round, have lost only Tommy Hannigan to injury with the defender still sidelined by a back problem.
Midfielder Tom Curtis could play a part after recovering from the back injury which kept him out of the last five games.
Middlesbrough (from): Schwarzer, Turnbull, Davies, Parnaby, McMahon, Pogatetz, Huth, Bates, Wheater, Taylor, Cattermole, Mendieta, Morrison, Euell, Johnson, Rochemback, Parlour, Viduka, Maccarone.
