WATFORD v MIDDLESBROUGH BETTING ZONE PREVIEW

Watford head into the weekend still without a Premiership win but this match offers them one of their best opportunities so far because Boro have been shocking away from the Riverside.

"I don't feel there is a particular issue about playing away from home but I will have to look at what we have done prior to the game because we did not start well at all - we were dull and lifeless," admitted Boro boss Gareth Southgate after seeing his side lose on Monday to an under-strength Manchester City side which had been low on confidence.

Their other two road defeats came at promoted sides Sheffield United and Reading which underlines why Watford have to rate the bet here at a juicy 13/8.

The Hornets went close to breaking their duck against Spurs last week - when Tommy Smith missed the best chance of the game - and have actually only lost once (to Arsenal) in their last eight.

Crucially their team spirit still appears to be good too and it all adds up to them getting off the mark here.

Verdict: Watford 2 Middlesbrough 1
