West Brom's Curtis Davies is willing to delay a nose operation in order to play against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup at the Riverside Stadium.

Davies sustained a broken nose during England Under-21s' 2-2 friendly draw with Spain at Derby, but the centre-half is unwilling to take off the two weeks he has been advised will be needed for surgery and recovery.

Meanwhile, the Baggies have been boosted by the return of Jonathan Greening who has completed a two-match suspension in time to feature against his former club.

And Nathan Ellington, Jason Koumas and Kevin Phillips, who were all rested for the 2-1 midweek win at Colchester, will also make the squad.

Middlesbrough duo Jonathan Woodgate and Julio Arca could return for the clash.

Woodgate has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem, while Arca turned an ankle during the 3-0 Barclays Premiership defeat at Chelsea.

South Korea striker Dong Gook Lee is available after being ineligible for the fourth-round replay and could be included in the squad - while Stuart Parnaby and Chris Riggott are both back in training following knee injuries.

Middlesbrough (from): Schwarzer, Davies, Taylor, Xavier, Woodgate, Pogatetz, Boateng, Arca, Morrison, Cattermole, Yakubu, Viduka, Downing, Jones, Hines, Parnaby, Euell, Arca, Rochemback, Christie, Lee.
