While West Ham aren't a team to be lumping on given their current state, they may well come out on top in this fixture on Saturday.

Middlesbrough lost to another struggling team in Manchester City last time, and that was at the Riverside. Away from home they are even worse.

Gareth Southgate's team have won once from 15 attempts on the road in the Premiership, and though they are only visiting the seemingly hapless Hammers they do not deserve odds as skinny as 7/4.

West Ham got a large slice of luck in their last game against Blackburn, when they collected all three points despite only scoring one goal in a 2-1 win.

And if they are to perform a miracle escape they could well look back on that match as the turning point.

While they are 5/4 and we believe they can win, West Ham haven't convinced they are worth betting on at short prices with their performances this season.

Middlesbrough also rested Mark Viduka and Yakubu for the Manchester City game, and they will be paired in attack on Saturday.

They are dangerous partnership when on form and are enough to put us off backing a West Ham side who have conceded 51 goals in the league this season.

Verdict: West Ham 2 Middlesbrough 2
