MIDDLESBROUGH v WIGAN - BETTING ZONE PREVIEW
Not exactly a mouthwatering clash this.
Boro have just one win in seven and Gareth Southgate's baptism of fire shows no sign of getting any easier.
They currently sit just two points above the drop zone, although their home record is the reason they aren't actually already in the bottom three - they've won four of their eight games at the Riverside.
However, they are notoriously inconsistent and, at the prices, Wigan (27/10 to Boro's 6/5) look the better bet.
They will miss regular starter Emile Heskey (suspended) but confidence will have returned after they followed their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool with a 2-0 victory at West Ham in midweek.
They've also won at Bolton and Fulham already this term - both difficult places to get a result - so we won't put anyone off having a small punt on them at 27/10.
Verdict: Middlesbrough 0 Wigan 1 (AS)
