When Cole turned his back on the ref after his rash tackle, his mind had locked horns with his attitude.

The only concern I have with respect to the referee is that it is alleged that he didn't include the fiasco in his match report.

He is a referee and irregardless of what took place, he is the FA’s representative!!

However, a bunch of happy slappers deserted their own official and found in favour of a player who could have crippled a fellow pro. This is disgraceful but not new.

If a referee makes what is considered to be a serious mistake then the FA immediately axes them because they are supposed to get such things right.

Yet our own FA simply shut their eyes to the Cole incident, an incident so serious. It was repeatedly shown across the world.

There’s a reason for everything in life. Therefore, one must ask themselves why the above was swept under the mat whilst many a nothing incident has been carpeted.

Does the post code influence, or were words exchanged behind closed doors which carried a whispered instruction down the grapevine “To leave well alone"?

Something happened that halted proceedings and only a buffoon would believe otherwise.

There have been many minor offences this season that have been met by the FA with a wall of heavy thunder. These include incidents that have carried no disrespect to the ref.

Yet the lack of respect in society is spilling over onto every football pitch these days!

By his own admittance Cole accepts he has an attitude problem and it has now been allowed to boil and simmer instead of it being given its first thick coat of red paint.

If you misbehave in any football ground you will be removed immediately and then face that particular club’s laid down criteria as expected. This is done for a reason.
