LET’S CREATE A SEA OF RED AND WHITE
By Middlesbrough FC
Fans’ group The Twe12th Man are urging fans to bring their scarves, flags and banners to Sunday’s quarter-final clash with Cardiff in the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON.
The Twe12th Man have joined forces with the club to encourage supporters to create a sea of red and white – and a wall of noise - around the Riverside as Boro bid to reach the new Wembley for the first time.
“Bring your scarves, your flags and your banners and join the North-East’s most passionate and innovative fans in turning the Riverside into a cauldron of positive tribal energy,” said the Twe12th Man’s Geoff Thomas. “It is time to make that difference.”
“Wembley beckons for another semi-final. We want this cup and we want it badly.”
While Boro are keen for fans to bring flags they advise fans that no large flag poles that could be used as weapons will be allowed into the stadium.
Sunday’s tie is certain to be a sell-out – with a tremendous atmosphere guaranteed as Cardiff will bring almost 4,000 fans with them from Wales.
Non-season ticket holders are reminded to hold on to their ticket stubs both from Sunday’s tie and the previous round against Sheffield United as these may be required in the future.
