MEET FORMER BORO MANAGER LENNIE LAWRENCE

Fans can meet and chat with ex-Boro manager Lennie Lawrence in the MFC Official town-centre store on Sunday December 6 (11am-12.30pm).
Lawrence, who led Boro to promotion into the inaugural Premier League in 1992, will be signing copies of his autobiography 'Lennie' at the store in Captain Cook Square, Middlesbrough.
The book recounts stories from his 32 years in football, including a three-year spell as Boro manager between 1991 and 1994, leading the club to promotion in his first season and the inaugural Premier League campaign of 1992-93.

As a coach and manager, Lawrence has experienced all of the highs, lows and emotions the game has to offer and has been involved with teams from every division of the English leagues.
He earned a legendary reputation during nine years at Charlton Athletic, helping to steer the club from near bankruptcy to a place among football's elite. He has also played a major role in the fortunes of nine different clubs, notably Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Bristol Rovers.
He belongs to an elite band of 18 English managers who have clocked up more than 1,000 games as manager. His contemporaries in this hall of fame include Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp, Steve Coppell, Brian Clough and Sir Matt Busby. He is currently director of football at Bristol Rovers.
