A WAY THROUGH THIS - SUNDERLAND 20-9-08

Looking For Our First Points On The Road...

Boro take their shortest trip of the season to The Stadium Of Light looking for their first points away from home this campaign.

Without an away win since December, Boro really have to start picking up points on their travels in order to do well this season.

Likewise, Sunderland will know that they will have to use their home advantage and they will be seeing this game as a must win.

Anton Ferdinand v Andrew Taylor

After paying a reported £8million for the former Hammer’s centre-back, Anton could well be making his Sunderland debut in the early kick-off tomorrow. If he plays anything like his brother in the derby, we could well be seeing a hat-trick from the Fonz and a lot of tears from the Mackems.

After recovering from the injury which saw him miss the start of the season, Taylor is back in the Boro squad. Having brilliant understanding with Stewey on the pitch and being a solid defender at left back, Andrew is an all round great player who is also half of one of the best left sides in the Premiership.

Steed Malbranque v Julio Arca

After following all the other Tottenham rejects to Sunderland, Malbranque finds himself in the middle of the Black Cats midfield trying to put in a good performance and looking to get off the mark for his new club.

Fingers-crossed hopefully Julio will be back in the middle of the Boro midfield to battle against his former club. Being one of Middlesbrough’s main play makers, I just hope that Arca can do what he did against Roy Keane’s side last time around and score!

El-Hadji Diouf v Mohamed Shawky

All Sunderland need to do is sign Joey Barton and Robbie Savage and then they’ll have all the bad boys of the Premier League. Now hated by all the Red Army after spitting at a Boro fan in the 2004-05 season, Diouf will not get a nice reception from Gareth’s Barmy Army as the former Trotter goes in search of his first goal of the campaign.

Shawky is looking to be a really good buy for Southgate, who could in the long run become a brilliant replacement for Boateng. Costing just £650,000, the defensive midfielder is now considered part of the starting eleven by his manager.

Djibril Cisse v Mido

On a season long loan from Marseille, Cisse has already become a fans' favorite after scoring the winner nearly a month ago at White Hart Lane. Being Sunderland’s main threat, it will be this six footer who the Boro defence will have to watch out for.

The record goes on. With four goals in five games, Mido will be looking to add to his impressive tally for the season. After eyeing up a long term contract with his seventh club this past week, Mido will surely be out to impress Gareth until the deal is done.

Prediction: With both teams having good starts to the campaign, and with the extra spice of a derby, this will certainly be a close one to call. The game will surely be won in midfield as all other areas of the field are closely contested.

With all the lads up for the first North-East clash of the season, I think Mido will grab the three points for the Boro in a 2-1 victory to give Gareth his long awaited away win.

Come On Boro!

We guarantee this bet

It's understandable that some people will not believe that it is possible to do this. "What's the catch?" I hear you asking. My answer to that question is that this is the fifth season that we have been publishing these kind of bets and literally hundreds of people have profited from following the advice on these pages.

Only twice has our refund guarantee been triggered and that was when we did all the figures wrong and sent refunds out to those who had followed our advice and made a small loss.

Our refund guarantee works like this. If this bet doesn't work like we say it will and you end up out of pocket, we will refund your losses. Simple as that.

That means that you simply cannot lose on this, whatever happens and even if we messed up the numbers, which is highly unlikely.

The only stipulation here is that you must click on the links on this page to be eligible for the refund guarantee, not that you'll be needing to claim anyway. Just enjoy the profit and stay posted for many more of these next season.
