I am 57 yrs old (physically, with a mental age of about 14).

I am a struggling writer, who resorted to self-publishing to get my first books out there. However, a lack of promotion resulted in a lack of sales.

WH Smith didn't help by stocking my books alongside 'Walks In Cleveland' instead of the fantasy and sci-fi section. They somehow attribute local authors to writing only about local subjects. I wonder if Brian Lumley had the same trouble getting his first book published?

Anyway, I am now redrafting the first book again, and will try hitting the agents once finished.

I work (when I can find it) as a Piping Design/Engineer, and have worked in many diverse locations around the world.

I used to support Stockton FC in my youth, and then transferred my allegiance to Boro when they got wound up in 1986.

I had season tickets on a number of occasions, and once had four for my family, later reduced to two. We chucked them in all together during McClaren's second year in charge.

With my working away, I rarely got to use my own ticket, and I only saw a couple of games a season - usually the worst ones, with my luck. The football has been poor ever since, with no signs of improvement.

I used to go to the odd game as and when I could, but after the Cardiff game, I drove home, took off my replica shirt, and put it in the dustbin. I swore never to waste my money on those non-trying players and clueless manager again.

I used to watch televised games on Showtime, but now we are in the Championship, I doubt I'll see many games at all.

I've always been a critic of Boro but I like to think of myself as being a constructive one.

In the old FMTTM fanzine, I started posting as Mr Angry - later known as BrokenLance on the electronic version - until I got fed up of the left-wing propaganda touted by Rob and his cronies.
