ARSENAL v MIDDLESBROUGH - BETTING ZONE PREVIEW
A hugely inexperienced Boro side was hammered 7-0 in this fixture two seasons again so it's all the more surprising that since then they've actually had the better of things against the Gunners.
Gareth Southgate's team produced easily their best display of the current campaign when beating - and outplaying - Arsenal at the Riverside back in December.
That only serves to highlight just what a frustrating side they are though - occasionally capable of raising their game to match the very best, but just as likely to slip up against the Premier League's lesser lights.
That's certainly been in evidence recently - they played well in midweek and probably deserved more than a draw away to Aston Villa but that followed hot on the heels of their FA Cup defeat by Cardiff.
That profile does mean this isn't a game to blindly oppose Boro, especially as Arsenal themselves haven't exactly been in vintage form in the league.
It's now three draws in a row for the leaders - and note it's not been the toughest set of fixtures either, with Aston Villa, Birmingham and Wigan the teams in question.
We'll therefore sit this one out.
Verdict: Arsenal 2 Middlesbrough 1
