MIDDLESBROUGH v MANCHESTER UNITED - THE VIEWS OF THE FANS
The Boro go into this clash against Manchester United on the back of a narrow and unlucky defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Never will the Champions visit Middlesbrough with the home fans feeling as indifferent as they are now. Many will be casting envious eyes to Wembley where Cardiff City play Barnsley in the FA Cup semi-final, knowing that it should have been us in London.
There is therefore no better game for the Boro to slay the spectre of 'Black Sunday' than this one.
Here is what the fans are saying about the game:
Armchair Boro NY
We always have a chance. They will rest five or six players against us to be sure of going through in the Champions League, so we will be playing their reserves who will be looking to score once and close up shop. Our real worry has to be a penalty or a red card against us.
If we score first, we might well win and should get at least a point!
2-1 the Boro!

As a true Boro pessimist I predict that we wil get humped but only after playing some "nice" (but pointless) football.
The Wizard of Smog
Of course we have a chance! They're awesome if you let them play as we saw against Villa but we showed against Arsenal that we can stop teams playing and showed last week that we can play a bit ourselves.
If the midfield and defence have their shooting boots on (I've given up hope of our "strikers" living up to their billing) and the ref has enough of a pair to withstand their inevitable penalty claim, we could get the three points that will effectively guarantee us staying up.
