MIDDLESBROUGH v PORTSMOUTH - THE VIEW OF THE FANS
Boro go into this clash needing the points to guarantee Premiership survival. It is a sad case of affairs that it has come to this but two lacklustre displays against Bolton and Sunderland have put the Boro in the mire.
Portsmouth have one eye on the FA Cup Final but go into this game with an excellent record at the Riverside. In fact, they haven't lost here since the inauguration of the Premier League.
Here's what the fans think?
Kris's G Spot
It could go a few ways:
We could score early, bottle it, sit back, invite pressure and either cling on or lose a late goal.
We could play poorly, fail to score and lose 2-0 from two corners.
We could get a grip, realise we are better than this and win 3-0.
Captain Moonlight
Southgate will talk attacking football then play Boateng, Cattermole and Shawky.
Brown Smog
Seriously, I have no idea what to expect. It depends on whether we can get an early goal and whether we can avoid conceding early.
As always this season, we've been supportive but it's almost entirely been rubbish and the atmosphere has been killed.
We will get a period where we play amazingly well. We must score in these situations and avoid conceding in the others.
Anti BORIS
We will beat them 3-0 and then spend the summer moaning how we would have won the FA Cup.
Fids
We were gash against Sunderland and we will be even worse against Portsmouth.
It's doom and gloom next season in the Championship in my eyes. I'd like to be proved wrong but I just can't see us getting any points from the next two games.
Armchair Boro In NY
1-0 the Boro, Alves on ten minutes.
I've read that we have recalled Riggott and plan to start him in central defence, so I'm planning to be biting my nails from the start.
I'm trusting that Pompey will be playing reserves for the most part and looking to stroll about on the pitch and to avoid most challenges.
