Graham qualified as a referee in 1987 and progressed through
the ranks to become a National List referee in 1995 after which he
enjoyed seven full seasons on what was then the
Nationwide League and is now The Championship.
During that
time Graham refereed around 200 games in all divisions, as well as operating
as fourth official in Premier League games, mainly at St James Park and The
Stadium of Light.
Due to the introduction of full time officials and increasing business committments running a Middlesbrough based company, Graham resigned from the list in September 2002.
In the main Graham thoroughly
enjoyed his time on the list and gathered vast experience of officiating
at the top level of English Football. He now spends most of his spare
time either watching Boro at home and abroad, playing golf or following
his interest in horse racing as an owner.
