BID FOR A SIGNED BORO SHIRT
Football fans can help kick-off our part of a fundraising campaign for safety improvements on the A141 in Huntingdon by bidding for some fantastic sporting memorabilia.
Some of the prized items include a football signed by the Chelsea team, a signed photograph of the Arsenal squad, and a Middlesbrough shirt, again signed by the players.
There are also items from other Premiership teams, including both the red and blue sides of Liverpool, and Sunderland.
Other smaller clubs from further down the football leagues have also generously donated items to help raise money for the Warren Hay Road Safety Action Group.
All of the items - and any extra we receive over the next few weeks - will be auctioned off over the next month.
The auction site, which goes live on Friday at Hunts Post 24, will be updated with the current winning bids - so you'll know exactly how much you will need to pay to win an item.
Every pound raised from the auction will eventually help improve the road where sixteen-year-old St Peter's School pupil Warren Hay, from Alconbury, was killed in an accident.
The football fanatic had been crossing the A141 on his way to watch a match at Jubilee Park.
Cambridgeshire County Council has agreed to a £160,000 scheme to improve the road, but safety campaigners believe more can be done to provide a safer crossing for pedestrians.
Warren's mother, Maxine Hay, said: "The support we, the action group, have received and continue to receive from The Hunts Post and its readers is above and beyond our expectations.
"On a personal level I'm overwhelmed with how the public have rallied together to campaign for safety improvements on the A141 and to keep Warren's memory alive."

The CCC scheme would see a ban on right turns into and out of the Kings Ripton junction on the A141 and a traffic island built.
However, the council has also said it would upgrade the scheme to a light controlled crossing - costing £300,000 - if money was put forward by Huntingdonshire District Council, Huntingdon Town Council and the action group.
The Hunts Post believes the town council is due to help fund the scheme while HDC is still looking into the possibility of providing funding.
The online auction will help push all the parties closer to their target.
