HISTORIC BORO FA CUP PROGRAMME TO BE AUCTIONED
The oldest known Boro FA Cup home programme is one of the many highly desirable items to be auctioned at the forthcoming Methuselah football memorabilia sale at the Marton Hotel & Country Club on Thursday March 6th at 1pm.
The Ayresome Park programme, dated January 14, 1911, is from the first round tie against the then Division II side, Glossop. It is extremely rare and forms part an extensive Boro collection which is expected to attract not only local, but national interest.
Auction organiser, John Wilson, enthused, "The sale contains many scarce and significant pre World War One Boro items, as well as other sought-after material from other eras. I expect the bidding to be very keen."
