Boro fans who attend a launch party for the book 'Teesside Urban Legends' at MSV's new Middlesbrough store this Thursday tea-time can meet Riverside stars Tuncay Sanli and Julio Arca.
The launch party will also mark the official opening of the MSV and Shop@Panasonic store at 152-154 Linthorpe Road.
All fans and late-night Christmas shoppers are invited to attend between 5.30pm and 6.30pm - and there's a glass of champagne or a soft drink for all those attending!
The book's editors will also be holding a signing session in the central mall of the Hillstreet shopping centre on Thursday 12-2pm, with a further session at Guisborough Book Shop 1pm-3pm on Saturday December 6.
MSV are co-sponsors of 'Teesside Urban Legends', a unique 240-page book bursting full of local folklore, myths and Boro banter.
The book is a compilation of the greatest threads on the message boards of two of Europe's most popular fan websites, Fly Me to the Moon and ComeOnBoro.com - and many of the fans who contribute to it will attend the MSV party for a unique signing session.
Many of those whose online rants, humour, insights and drunken late-night ramblings fill the book under pseudonyms rather than their real names will meet for perhaps the first time.
'Teesside Urban Legends' allows readers to discover how, courtesy of a misunderstanding with the workings of the Transporter Bridge, comedian Terry Scott almost came to an untimely death in the murky depths of the River Tees.
They can read about long-lost tales from Teesside's industrial age of ICI and British Steel and pogo back in time to Middlesbrough's infamous Rock Garden as the likes of the Sex Pistols, The Damned and Adam and the Ants rocked the Boro with gigs that have passed into folklore legend.
A feast of football and wit features in chapters titled What Happened to Pogi's Head, Gareth Southgate is Ignorant of Boro's Traditions, Call My (Boro) Bluff, the Most Bizarre Incident Ever at a Boro Match, Best Away Day Stories Following the Boro and Our Holgate End in the Sky.
Priced £14.99, 'Teesside Urban Legends' is kindly sponsored by Middlesbrough's Hillstreet shopping centre and MSV's new Middlesbrough store.
It is available now on Teesside from MSV, the MFC Official retail stores, Waterstones, WH Smith, HMV, Borders, Middlesbrough Railway Station, Guisborough Book Shop, Billingham Books, the Evening Gazette and Mohan's Bar.
It can also be ordered by clicking here.
Owned by Boro season card holder Shab Mehdi, MSV are official TV suppliers to Middlesbrough FC and offer 10% off to all season card holders.
MSV was first opened on Borough Road back in 1994 by club captain Nigel Pearson and was, until recently, based on Portrack Lane.
It now fills the first floor at 152-154 Linthorpe Road, with Shop@Panasonic on the ground floor.
