I expected the FA to come out fighting from the off this season.
I expected them to do simple things like telling the refs that any player who raises their boot, like Deco did on Sunday, is to be shown a red card without hesitation.
But low and behold, another potential leg breaker has been allowed to escape on day one.
Those who pick and choose when to bring camera evidence into play are just
a bunch of part-time discriminators. Off the ball and on the ball incidents are one and the
same to the fair minded person but this lot are simply part-time strawberry pickers.
The ref had a wonderful game but who would have expected the incident involving Deco to happen within
minutes of the FA’s “Respect” campaign finding its feet?
Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Chelsea's ageing squad may struggle to challenge his side
for major honours. I hope he’s not suggesting that they are going to travel to away games on
the back of a bus pass.
Rooney’s card for mouthing off was a Jeff Winter special. The ref never muttered a
single word when showing it as this is the only language prats like him understand.
So keep it up Rooney son, then you will be able to buy some more sun cream and

On another day Deco’s tackle on Diarra may well have finished the Portsmouth player’s
season there and then. This is why you must show red cards there and then.
Deco has joined the right club however, because Chelsea have had more hackers than
Microsoft. So he can reboot that up his arse.
